도에 따르면 이번 협약은 민선 8기 경제정책 핵심 시책인 ‘기업을 위한 경북’을 실현하기 위한 것으로 장기적인 경기침체와 내수 부진으로 경영난에 빠진 도내 투자기업의 성공적인 구조개선과 경영 정상화를 지원하는 것을 주요 골자로 한다.
경북도는 그동안의 정책 방향이 기업의 투자를 유치하거나 성장을 지원했다면, 앞으로는 기업활동에 장해가 되는 각종 규제와 고충 사항을 현장에서 직접 발로 뛰어 발굴하고 최선의 해결책을 찾는 ‘현장 밀착형 투자기업 사후 지원시스템’을 구축한다.
경북도는 그 첫 단추로 한국자산관리공사(KAMCO)와 동반관계를 구축해 자금난으로 정상적인 경영이 어려운 도내 투자기업을 지원하는 각종 경영 정상화 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
이러한 프로그램 운영은 도내 투자기업들이 장기간 지속되는 경기침체를 극복하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이철우 경상북도지사는 “경상북도는 APEC 정상회의, 통합신공항 건설 등 기업인에게 기회의 땅”이라며 “앞으로도 끊임없이 현장에서 기업과 만나고 이야기해 기업인의 가려운 곳을 시원하게 긁어주는 ‘기업을 위한 경북’을 실현하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
