【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도가 청년들의 안정적인 지역 정착과 활력 증진을 위한 ‘2026 청년행복 뉴딜프로젝트’를 본격 추진한다.

청년행복 뉴딜프로젝트는 청년 활동 공간 조성과 지역 정착 지원, 네트워크 형성 등 청년 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공해 청년들이 머물고 싶은 ‘행복한 경북’을 만드는 데 목적을 두고 있다.

올해 사업은 포항시, 경주시, 상주시, 문경시, 경산시, 의성군, 성주군, 칠곡군, 예천군 등 9개 시·군에서 추진되며, 각 지역 청년센터를 중심으로 3월부터 12월까지 다양한 참여형 프로그램이 운영된다.

특히 올해부터는 1인 가구 청년을 위한 ‘청춘 식탁’ 프로그램이 필수 사업으로 포함됐다. ‘청춘 식탁’은 패스트푸드, 배달 음식, 혼밥에 익숙한 청년들의 식습관 개선을 돕고, 함께 건강한 한 끼를 직접 요리하며 자연스럽게 소통하는 프로그램이다.

지역별 주요 프로그램은 ▲포항시 청년정책활동 지원 및 슬기로운 청년생활(경제편) ▲경주시 신혼부부 원데이 클래스 ▲상주시 청년 취미·만남 클래스 ▲문경시 목공·공예 원데이 클래스 ▲경산시 청년 동아리 및 취업역량 강화 ▲의성군 1인 가구 지역정착 프로그램 ▲성주군 동아리 활동·청년역량개발 ▲칠곡군 금융교육 및 청년 마음 클래스 ▲예천군 청년 활동가 학교 등으로 구성된다.

청년들은 원하는 프로그램에 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 신청 및 세부 내용은 경북청년e끌림 홈페이지와 각 시·군 청년센터를 통해 확인할 수 있다.

이상수 경상북도 지방시대정책국장은 “이번 뉴딜프로젝트는 설계 단계부터 청년들의 의견을 적극 반영한 만큼 체감도 높은 실질적 지원이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “청년들의 건강한 또래 문화를 형성하고 지역사회에 활력을 불어넣는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

North Gyeongsang Province is launching the ‘2026 Youth Happiness New Deal Project’ in earnest to promote the stable settlement and vitality of young people in the region.

The Youth Happiness New Deal Project aims to create a ‘Happy North Gyeongsang Province’ where young people want to stay by providing customized programs, such as creating activity spaces, supporting regional settlement, and fostering networks.

This year’s project will be implemented in nine cities and counties, including Pohang, Gyeongju, Sangju, Mungyeong, Gyeongsan, Uiseong, Seongju, Chilgok, and Yecheon. Various participatory programs will be operated from March to December, centered around local youth centers.

Notably, starting this year, the ‘Youth Table’ program for young people living alone has been included as a mandatory initiative. ‘Youth Table’ is a program designed to help improve the eating habits of young people accustomed to fast food, delivery meals, and eating alone, while fostering natural communication as they cook a healthy meal together. Youth can participate in any program they wish to attend. Applications and detailed information can be found on the Gyeongbuk Youth e-Kkeullim website and at the youth centers in each city and county.

Lee Sang-soo, Director General of the Local Era Policy Bureau of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, “As this New Deal Project actively reflected the opinions of youth from the design stage, we expect it to provide practical support with a high level of tangible impact.
