이번 정부 추경은 총 26조 2천억 원 규모로 ▲고유가 부담 완화 ▲지방재정 보강 ▲민생 안정 ▲산업 피해 최소화 및 공급망 안정 ▲재정 건전성 확보 등을 중심으로 편성됐다.

특히 소득 하위 70%에 해당하는 약 3,580만 명에게 1인당 10만~60만 원의 ‘고유가 피해지원금’을 지역화폐로 지급하기로 하면서 도민 생활 안정과 함께 지역 내 소비 진작 효과가 기대된다.

경북도는 정부 추경안이 국회에 제출된 초기 단계부터 선제적으로 대응해 주요 현안 사업을 지속 건의해 왔으며, 국회 상임위원회와 예산결산특별위원회 심의 과정에서도 지역 국회의원들과 협력 체계를 유지해왔다.

이와 함께 황명석 경북도지사 권한대행 행정부지사는 ‘중동 상황 대응 분야별 추진상황 점검회의’를 열고 고물가·고유가에 따른 민생경제 대응 현황을 점검하고 향후 대책을 구체화했다.

그 결과 ▲어업용 면세유 긴급지원 562억 원 ▲농기계 3종 면세경유 유가 연동보조금 한시 지원 529억 원이 신규 반영됐으며, ▲지역산업맞춤형 일자리 지원 120억 원 ▲지역산업 위기 대응 70억 원 ▲지역콘텐츠산업 균형발전사업 63억 원 등 주요 사업 예산도 증액됐다.

이 밖에도 ▲CCU 메가프로젝트 ▲농어촌 전기공급사업 ▲연안화물선 유류비 보조 ▲의료취약지 지역보건의료 긴급지원 사업 등이 포함되면서 지역 SOC 확충과 민생 복지 향상에도 긍정적 효과가 기대된다.

경북도는 국회 의결 이전부터 집행 계획을 사전에 준비해 온 만큼, 확정된 예산을 신속히 현장에 투입해 경기 부양 효과를 극대화한다는 방침이다.

황명석 경북도지사 권한대행은 “이번 정부 추경은 어려운 경제 상황 속에서 도민의 삶을 지키기 위한 중요한 재원”이라며 “고유가와 고물가로 어려움을 겪는 소상공인과 취약계층에 지원이 적기에 이뤄질 수 있도록 모든 행정력을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
