경북도는 31일 도청 원융실에서 황명석 경상북도지사 권한대행 행정부지사 주재로 ‘경상북도 소버린 AI 기본계획 추진상황 점검회의’를 열고, 73개 세부 실천 과제에 대한 실국별 추진계획과 협력 방안을 논의했다.

이번 회의는 지난 18일 발표된 기본계획의 실행력을 높이기 위한 후속 조치로, 분야별 과제의 추진 방향과 일정, 협업 체계를 점검하는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다. 특히 도내 연구기관과 기업이 참여하는 산학연 협력 기반의 현장 대응 전략이 집중적으로 다뤄졌다.

‘경상북도 소버린 AI 기본계획’은 정부 인공지능 전략과 연계해 지역 산업 기반을 중심으로 AI 전환(AX)을 선도하기 위해 수립된 중장기 정책이다. 경북의 산업·입지적 강점을 활용해 국가 전략을 지역 단위에서 구체화하는 것이 핵심이다.

계획은 4대 전략과 73개 실천 과제로 구성되며, 산업별 특성과 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 AI 전환을 추진한다. 데이터, 인프라, 인재 등 핵심 기반을 체계적으로 확충하고, 실증과 사업화를 통해 산업 전반의 경쟁력을 강화하는 데 중점을 두고 있다.

경북도는 이번 점검 결과를 토대로 각 실국의 기능과 정책 여건에 맞는 실행 전략을 보완하고, 산업 현장의 수요를 반영한 신규 과제를 지속적으로 발굴해 나갈 방침이다.

아울러 국비 사업 건의 등 정책 추진 기반을 강화하고 후속 절차를 속도감 있게 추진해 도민이 체감할 수 있는 성과 창출에 주력할 계획이다.

황명석 권한대행은 “소버린 AI 기본계획은 경북이 국가 AI 전략의 실행 거점으로 자리매김하기 위한 실천 약속”이라며 “각 실국이 실행 주체로서 책임감을 가지고 과제를 추진해 달라”고 당부했다.
