【브레이크뉴스 성주】이성현 기자=성주군의 대표 민속마을인 한개마을이 지난 10월 18일부터 19일까지 구미 금오산 대주차장에서 열린 '2025 경상북도 문화마을이야기 박람회'에서 ‘우수마을’로 선정되는 영예를 안았다.

이번 박람회는 경상북도와 대구신문이 공동 주최‧주관했으며, 도내 문화마을들이 참여해 각 지역의 전통문화와 관광자원을 홍보하는 자리로 마련됐다.

한개마을은 ‘한개마을의 가을정원’을 주제로 전통문화와 체험 프로그램을 결합한 특색 있는 부스를 운영해 관람객들의 발길을 끌었다. 특히 국화 화분 심기 체험행사 ‘나의 작은 가을정원’은 이틀간 250여 명이 참여할 정도로 높은 인기를 보였다. 

참가자들은 직접 국화를 심고 이름과 소망을 적은 라벨을 붙이며 자신만의 작은 정원을 완성했다. 완성된 화분에는 한개마을 홍보 스티커가 부착되어 자연스러운 홍보 효과를 거두었고, 현장은 활기찬 분위기로 가득했다.

이 밖에도 전통 다과 시식회, 성주 유과 등 지역 농특산물 홍보전이 함께 진행돼 방문객들의 호응을 얻었다. 또한 마을의 역사·고택문화·유학정신을 소개하는 전시와 영상 자료를 통해 한개마을이 단순한 관광지를 넘어 ‘살아 있는 문화유산 마을’임을 알렸다.

이병환 성주군수는 “한개마을은 성주의 대표 민속마을로, 이번 박람회를 통해 전통문화의 가치를 널리 알릴 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 주민이 주도하는 체험형 콘텐츠를 확충해 지속가능한 문화관광마을로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Hangae Village in Seongju Selected as an Outstanding Village at the '2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Village Story Fair'

Hangae Village, Seongju County's representative folk village, was honored with the honor of being selected as an "Outstanding Village" at the '2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Village Story Fair' held at the Geumosan Mountain Parking Lot in Gumi from October 18th to 19th.

Hangae Village operated a unique booth themed "Hangae Village's Autumn Garden," combining traditional culture with hands-on programs, attracting visitors. The chrysanthemum potting experience event, "My Little Autumn Garden," proved particularly popular, attracting over 250 participants over two days.

Participants planted chrysanthemums and attached labels with their names and wishes, creating their own miniature gardens. Hangae Village promotional stickers were affixed to the finished pots, creating a natural promotional effect and creating a lively atmosphere.

Furthermore, a traditional tea tasting event and a promotional exhibition of local agricultural specialties, including Seongju Yugwa, were held, which garnered a positive response from visitors. Furthermore, exhibitions and videos introducing the village's history, traditional house culture, and Confucianism demonstrated that Hangae Village is more than just a tourist destination; it is a "living cultural heritage village."
