‘우리동네 초등방학 돌봄터’는 2026년 신규사업으로, 어린이집의 유휴 공간과 전문 보육 인력을 활용해 방학 중 초등학교 저학년(1~3학년)에게 겨울여름방학 기간 돌봄 서비스를 제공하는 지역 자원 연계형 모델이다.
봉화군은 본 사업을 통해 맞벌이･한부모 가정의 양육 부담을 경감하고, 안전하고 안정적인 돌봄 공간을 확대하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 군은 관내 어린이집을 대상으로 한 공모 절차를 거쳐 봉화읍 소재 ‘제일어린이집’을 운영기관으로 선정했다.
본 사업의 돌봄터는 평일 오전 09시부터 오후 18시까지 운영되며, 이용 아동에게는 독서･놀이 및 다양한 학습 프로그램 진행과 중식･간식 등이 전액 무료로 제공된다. 또한 초등 저학년의 맞춤형 돌봄을 위해 초등 돌봄 전담 교사를 별도로 배치하여 서비스의 전문성을 높인다.
박현국 봉화군수는 “이번 신규사업은 학부모의 부담을 줄이고, 달라지는 인구 여건에 유연하게 대응하는 의미 있는 사례가 될 것.”이라며, “아이와 가정이 안심할 수 있고, 지역사회가 함께하는 돌봄 체계를 지속적으로 마련해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The daycare center will operate weekdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and children participating in the program will receive free reading, play, and various learning programs, as well as lunch and snacks. Furthermore, dedicated elementary school teachers will be assigned to provide customized care for lower elementary school students, enhancing the professionalism of the service.
Bonghwa County Mayor Park Hyeon-guk stated, "This new project will reduce the burden on parents and serve as a meaningful example of flexible response to changing demographics."
