이번 사업은 관외 여행업체와 전세버스업체, 내국인 10명 이상(외국인 6명 이상)으로 구성된 단체 관광객이 봉화지역 관광지와 음식점 등을 이용할 경우 인센티브를 지원하는 방식으로 운영된다. 당일 관광의 경우 1인당 1만 원, 숙박 관광은 1인당 2만 원이 지급되며, 총사업비는 2천500만 원 규모로 예산 소진 시까지 선착순으로 지원된다.
또한 전통시장 활성화를 위해 봉화상설시장 등 관내 전통시장을 방문하는 단체 관광객에게는 1인당 3천 원의 추가 인센티브도 제공한다.
인센티브 지원을 받기 위해서는 여행일 기준 7일 전까지 사전 단체관광 계획서를 제출해야 하며, 관광 종료 후 20일 이내에 관련 증빙서류를 갖춰 봉화군 문화관광과(☎ 054-679-6344)에 신청하면 된다.
다만 동일 업소를 월 2회 초과 이용하는 경우나 체육대회 참가자 등은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
봉화군 문화관광과장은 “국립백두대간수목원과 분천 산타마을 등 봉화가 보유한 우수한 관광 자원을 적극 알리고, 실질적인 관내 소비를 유도해 지역 경제에 활력을 불어넣을 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
