이번 사업은 봉화군 관내에 방치된 빈집(주택)을 대상으로 하며, 빈집 철거 등 정비에 필요한 비용을 가구당 최대 160만 원까지 보조금 형태로 지원한다.

신청 접수는 예산 소진 시까지 선착순으로 진행된다. 사업 참여를 희망하는 군민은 빈집이 소재한 읍·면 사무소를 방문해 건축 업무 담당 부서에 신청하면 되며, 군은 현장 확인 등을 거쳐 최종 지원 대상자를 선정할 계획이다.

보조금은 철거 완료 후 지급하는 사후 정산 방식으로 운영된다. 지원 대상자로 선정된 신청자가 사업을 완료한 뒤 사진대지와 관련 증빙서류를 제출하면, 군의 확인 절차를 거쳐 보조금이 지급된다.

한편 건축물대장이 있는 빈집은 철거 전 반드시 건축물 해체 신고를 완료해야 하며, 석면이 포함된 슬레이트 주택은 녹색환경과와 협업해 별도로 추진된다. 슬레이트 주택의 상반기 신청 접수는 2월 중순까지 진행되며, 하반기에도 추가 접수가 예정돼 있다.

봉화군 도시계획과장은 “방치된 빈집은 경관 훼손은 물론 범죄와 화재 위험을 높이는 요인”이라며 “이번 농촌빈집정비사업을 통해 군민들에게 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 정주 환경을 제공하겠다”고 말했다.
