【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 최근 미국과 이란 간 군사 충돌로 중동 정세 불안이 확대됨에 따라 지역경제에 미칠 영향을 점검하기 위해 9일 양금희 경제부지사 주재로 비상경제대책회의를 개최했다.

이날 회의에는 도 경제 관련 부서와 도내 경제·금융기관 관계자들이 참석해 중동 정세 변화에 따른 지역 산업 영향과 기업 지원 방안, 민생경제 안정 대책 등을 논의했다.

▪중동 정세 불안, 지역경제 영향 최소화 선제 대응체계 가동

경북도에 따르면 호르무즈 해협은 전 세계 해상 원유의 약 20%와 LNG의 20~25%가 통과하는 핵심 에너지 수송로다. 이 지역이 봉쇄될 경우 에너지 가격 상승과 물류비 증가로 이어질 가능성이 높다.

특히 철강·전자·기계 등 에너지 사용 비중이 높은 제조업 중심의 경북 산업 구조 특성상 국제유가 상승과 물류비 변동에 따른 생산 원가 상승 등 지역 산업에 미치는 영향이 클 것으로 전망된다.

▪수출기업 물류비 상승압박...대금결제 지연 등 경영애로 대응 - 긴급경영안정자금, 수출물류바우처 등 확대 등 진행

경북의 중동 수출액은 2025년 기준 9억8천만 달러로 전체 수출의 약 2.6%를 차지하며 기계류, 철강, 전기기기 중심으로 수출이 이뤄지고 있다. 최근 현장에서는 물류비 상승과 해운선사 운항 차질로 납품 지연이 발생하고 있으며, 일부 기업은 대금 결제 지연으로 자금 경색 가능성도 제기되고 있다.

이에 경북도는 ▲물류비 지원 바우처 ▲관세 피해기업 경영안정자금 지원 ▲수출 피해 소상공인 특례보증 등을 추진하기로 했다. 또한 대구본부세관 협조를 통해 관세 납부기한 연장과 해상 운송 화물을 항공으로 긴급 운송할 경우 해상 운임을 적용하는 방안도 검토할 계획이다.

양금희 부지사는 “중동 사태가 장기화 조짐을 보이고 있다”며 “중동 수출기업에 대한 물류비와 보험료 지원 확대를 위해 추가경정예산 편성도 검토하라”고 지시했다.

또한 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA)는 중동 시장 소비 위축이 가전·모바일·화장품·식품 산업 등에 영향을 줄 수 있다고 전망하며 경북도와 함께 대체 시장 발굴에도 협력하기로 했다.

▪시장금리, 물가상황, 환율에 대한 위기상황 모니터링 체계도 가동

경북도는 금리·환율·물가에 대한 위기 모니터링 체계도 가동하기로 했다. 이를 위해 한국은행 대구경북본부와 협력해 환율 및 금리 변동이 철강과 이차전지 등 지역 산업에 미치는 영향을 지속적으로 점검하고 중앙정부와도 정보를 공유할 방침이다.

▪중소기업과 소상공인 안전망 가동, 지방공공요금 동결 등

소상공인과 중소기업 보호를 위한 대응책도 논의됐다. 경북신용보증재단은 올해 2조 원 규모 보증 공급 계획을 설명하며 매출 감소 기업과 원리금 상환 부담을 겪는 소상공인에 대해 전환보증을 선제 지원하기로 했다.

경북도는 물가 상승에 따른 서민경제 부담을 완화하기 위해 지방 공공요금 인상 시기 조정과 인상률 최소화도 추진한다. 이미 시내버스와 택시요금은 2026년 동결하기로 했으며, 상하수도 요금과 쓰레기봉투 가격 등 생활 물가와 직결된 요금 인상도 최소화할 방침이다.

또한 소비자물가 모니터링단(141명)을 운영해 전통시장 73곳과 대형마트 83개 품목에 대해 월 2회 가격 조사를 실시하는 상시 점검 체계를 유지한다.
