그동안 긴장 속에서 20명대를 유지해 오던 대구지역 코로나 19 확진자가 30명대로 올라서면서 20명대 마지노선이 사실상 무너진 것. 이에 따라 신규 확진자가 확산되면서 지난 2,3월의 악몽이 재현되는 것 아니냐는 우려가 나오고 있다.

대구시는  지난 해 12월 12일부터 코로나 19의 3차 대유행이 시작됐다. 이후 25일 동안 대구에서는 670명의 확진자가 발생, 일일평균 26.8명을 기록해 왔다. 이 가운데 일일 평균을 넘어선 날은 11일로 평균 34명꼴로 나타났다.

5일 32명은 지난 1주일 평균인 30명을 넘어서는 숫자다.  최근 1주일은 그동안 9~10일 간격으로 일일평균 기록을 넘어서던 것에 비하면 확진자 수가 확연하게 늘고 있는 것이 눈에 보인다.

앞전 주 평균은 21명이었다. 따라서 점점 늘어나는 확진자수와 함께 20명대를 넘어선 신규 확진자 지표는  대구지역의 코로나 19 감염자가 본격적으로 확산되는 것 아니냐는 우려를 던져주고 있다.

이같은 우려가 깊어지는 이유 중 하나가 확진자의 대부분이 종교 시설에서 발생하고 있기 때문으로 분석된다.  대구시는 이미 지난 해 신천지라는 종교 시설을 통해 6천여 명이 넘는 확진자가 발생, 최고의 위기를 경험한 바 있다.

 아직까지는 만족할 만한 수준의 방역협조가 이뤄지지 않고 있는 교회의 특성을 감안하면 5일 32명(20명이 교회 관련 확진)이라는 숫자는 코로나 19 확산이냐, 안정으로 갈수 있느냐의 중대 기점이 될 것이란 분석이다.

 5일 대구시 전체 확진자 32명 중 교회 관련 확진자는 20명이다. 동구 소재 교회 관련 자가 격리 해제 전 검사에서 4명, 접촉자 검사로 1명이 발견됐고, 수성구 소재  A교회 관련으로 8명, B교회 7명이 확진됐다. 이로써 동구 교회에서는 5일까지 80명이, 수성구 A, B 두 교회에서만 39명이 감염됐다. 교회가 대구의 코로나 19 방어선이 되어야 할 20명대를 무너뜨린 것 아니냐는 ᅟᅯᆫ성이 높아지는 이유다.

교회 말고도 요양병원과 정신병원 등에서 꾸준히 확진자가 발생하고 있는 것도 대구시로서는 여간 불안한 상황이 아니다. 5일 달서구 S병원(정신병원) 접촉자 3명이 대구의료원 코호트 격리 중 확진을 받았다. 특히, 방역에 취약할 수밖에 없는 요양병원이 사각지대에 놓이지 않도록 대구시는 바짝 긴장의 끈을 놓지 않고 있다.

대구시는 4일 이들 시설의 방역상황을 점검하고 검사대상시설 또한 당초 정부안 8종 700개소에서 10종 714개소로 대폭 확대했다. 이들 시설은 종사자 검사 주1회 정부안 외에 추가로 입원(소) 환자에 대해서도 2주 1회 선제검사가 실시될 예정이며, 대구시 관내 노숙인시설(2개소), 장애인 거주시설(12개소) 종사자에 대해서는  대구시 자체적으로 주1회 선제검사를 실시, 고위험군 집단시설에 대한 집중 방역관리를 강화한다는 방침이다. 

한편, 대구시에 따르면 지난 4일 감염병 전담병원인 칠곡경북대학교병원에 56병상이 추가 확보됨에 따라 경증·중등 환자 치료를 위한 병상은 모두 435개로 늘었다. 현재 238명이 입원, 병상 가동률도 전일 63.7%에서 53.8%로 낮아졌고, 순차적으로 96병상이 추가 확보될 계획으로 알려졌다.

중증환자 전담 치료병상은 경북대학교병원 등 5개 병원 72병상이 마련되어 있다.  향후 영남대학교병원 20병상을 순차적으로 확대 운영할 계획이라고 대구시는 밝혔다.
