국민의힘 대구시당(위원장 추경호)이 제16기 대구여성정치아카데미를 개강했다.

25일 대구시당은 강당에서 열린 국민의힘 대구여성정치아카데미 16기 개강식은 대구 지역의 여성 정치 지망생 120여명이 참여한 가운데 진행했다고 밝혔다.

대구여성정치아카데미는 당내·외 젊은 여성지도자의 발굴과 정치참여의식 고취하기 위해 마련된 것으로 정치신인의 정치참여기회 제공과 리더 발굴 및 외연확장 등이 기대된다고 덧붙였다.

이날 개강식을 시작으로 아카데미 교육은 매주 목요일 다양한 인사들을 초청해 주제별 특강을 이어 갈 예정이다.

이날 아카데미 개강식에 참가해 축하를 전한 추경호 대구시당위원장은 “아카데미가 여성들의 정치 의식을 높이고 정치 참여에 꿈을 가지신 분들을 배출하는 역할을 할 수 있길 바란다”면서 “대구지역 최고의 여성정치인 양성 교육기관으로 자리매김 할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
