대구에서 코로나19의 변이 바이러스인 오미크론의 첫 확진자가 발생했다. 

22일 대구시에 따르면 접종 완료자인 A씨(40대)는 지난 13일 입국해 코로나 검사를 받고 15일 확진됐다. 이후 질병관리청 전장 유전체 추가 검사를 시행한 결과 21일 오미크론으로 판명돼 칠곡 경북대병원으로 이송됐다. 

A씨가 밀접 접촉한 인원은 가족 3명과 입국 동행자 1명으로 이들 중 아내와 중학생 자녀 1명도 지난 20일 코로나19 확진 판정을 받았다.

대구시 관계자는 "아내와 자녀를 오미크론 추정 사례로 보고 전장 유전체 검사를 진행 중이다."며"전장 유전체 검사는 통상 4∼5일이 걸려 아내와 자녀에 대한 검사 결과가 나오는 데는 시간이 소요될 것으로 보인다."고 설명했다.

보건당국은 A씨 자녀가 다니는 중학교와 학원 관계자들에 대한 코로나19 검사를 진행해 전원 음성을 확인했다. 또 밀접 접촉자 38명을 자가격리 조치하고, 124명은 능동감시하기로 했다. 해당 학교는 수업을 온라인으로 전환했다. 

김대영 대구시 시민건강국장은 "전국적으로 오미크론 감염자가 227명"이라며 "해외 입국자에 대해서 지금처럼 접촉력과 상관없이 자가격리를 시행하고 오미크론 추정 사례를 관리하도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
