대구시는 현재의 거리두기 강화조치를 오는 17일부터 2월 6일까지 3주간 유지하고 사적모임 인원은 조정한다고 밝혔다.
국내 방역상황은 3차 예방접종, 방역패스 및 거리두기 강화조치로 12월 4주차부터는 확진자 규모가 감소하였지만 최근 감소세가 정체되고 있고 전파력은 2~3배, 재감염 비율은 4배가 높은 오미크론 변이가 지역사회에 빠르게 진행되고 있다.
또한 오미크론 확산이 가속화되고 있는 상황과 설 연휴 이동량 증가가 결합될 경우 전국적 감염유행이 재급증 할 수 있다는 우려가 매우 커지고 있다.
이에 대구시는 오미크론 확산을 최대한 늦추면서 확진자 폭증이 일어나지 않도록 현 거리두기를 3주간 유지하기로 했다.
다만 최근 4주간 고강도 거리두기 조치로 시민들의 거리두기 피로감, 최근 방역지표 개선으로 거리두기 완화에 기대심리가 큰 자영업‧소상공인들의 생업 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 사적모임 인원은 접종여부와 상관없이 기존 4명에서 6명까지 사적모임이 가능하다.
향후 거리두기는 위중증 환자 발생 규모, 의료체계 여력을 중점지표로 평가하여 방역적 위험이 낮은 조치부터 완화하는 것을 원칙으로 2~3주 간격으로 조정할 예정이다.
김철섭 시민안전실장은 “최근 해외유입 및 지역사회에서 오미크론 감염이 매우 빠르게 확산되고 있는 상황에서 전국적 이동량이 많은 설 연휴를 앞두고 있어 방역에 중대한 고비를 맞고 있다”며 “시민들께서는 방역상황 안정화 추세를 지속적으로 이어갈 수 있도록 추가접종, 마스크 쓰기 등 기본방역 수칙 준수에 적극 동참해 주시기를 당부드린다”고 밝혔다.
