대구시는 코로나19 경구용치료제인 팍스로비드 처방·투약을 시작한다고 14일 밝혔다.
대구시는 365명분(재택치료 215명, 생활치료센터 150명)을 공급 받으며, 공급받는 즉시 투약을 시작할 예정이다.
투약 대상은 증상 발현 후 5일 이내에 중증으로 진행될 위험이 큰 경증 및 중등증 환자로 65세 이상 또는 면역저하자 중 재택치료를 받거나 생활치료센터에 입소한 사람에게 우선 투약한다. 무증상자는 투약 대상에서 제외된다.
재택치료자는 대구시의 지정을 받은 대구의료원, 칠곡경북대학교병원, 계명대학교 대구동산병원, 한영한마음아동병원의 비대면 진료를 받은 뒤 지정약국과 보건소를 통해 치료제를 전달받게 된다.
생활치료센터 입소자는 전담 의료진을 통해 투약이 이뤄진다. 의료진은 경구용 치료제를 복용 중인 대상자를 매일 유선 모니터링을 실시하며 투약 여부 및 건강 상태를 면밀히 관찰한다.
경구용 치료제는 복용 중 증상이 개선되더라도 정해진 용법·용량에 따라 복용을 완료하여야 하며 3정을 1일 2회, 5일간 복용한다. 다만 병용금지 의약품을 복용했거나 신장 및 간에 장애가 있는 대상자는 투여가 제한 또는 금지된다.
이영희 대구광역시 시민건강국장은 “대구시는 지난 1월 12일, 8개 구․군 보건소, 관리의료기관 4개소, 전담약국 8개소가 함께 경구용 치료제 처방·전달 예행연습을 성공적으로 마쳤으며, 신속하고 안전하게 투약을 실시하겠다”며, “경구용 치료제 도입으로 코로나19로 인한 중증 환자 비율이 많이 줄어들기를 바란다”고 말했다.
