대구시는 김종한 행정안전부 안전관리정책관을 신임 대구시 행정부시장으로 임명했다고 21일 밝혔다.
김종한 신임행정부시장은 행정고시 36회로 1993년 공직에 입문해 대구시 정책기획관, 대구시 수성구 부구청장, 대구시 신기술산업국장, 행자부 주민정책과장, 행안부 예방안전정책관, 안전관리정책관 등 중앙과 지방의 주요 보직을 두루 거쳐 정책역량과 현장 감각을 겸비했다는 평을 받고 있다.
김종한 행정부시장은 서면 취임인사에서 “정치·사회적으로 대변혁기에 행정부시장이라는 막중한 임무에 어깨가 무겁지만 최선을 다해 나가겠다”며 “위기와 역경 속에서도 늘 빛을 잃지 않았던 대구의 저력을 다시 한 번 되새기며, 함께 힘을 합친다면 위대한 대구 건설을 향한 속도는 더 빨라질 것이다”고 전했다.
