【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 인구감소 대응 방안으로 지역 실정에 맞는 창의적인 생활인구 정책을 발굴하고 전폭 지원하는‘경북 생활인구 늘리기 프로젝트’공모를 실시한다고 23일 밝혔다.

이번 프로젝트 공모는 지방소멸대응기금을 활용해 도내 시군 및 단체를 대상으로 유휴자원활용 지역활력, 소규모마을활성화, 1시군 1생활인구 특화 등 3개 사업을 추진한다.

‘유휴자원활용 지역활력’은 빈집, 폐교 등 유휴자원을 리모델링해 창업공간, 문화예술공간 등으로 활용하는 사업으로 최대 4억원이 지원된다.

지난 공모에서는 칠곡군이 선정되어 농업기술센터 내 창고를 청년농업인 공간으로 탈바꿈하고 농산물 마케팅 지원시설로 운영하고 있다.

‘소규모마을 활성화’는 주민이 주체가 되어 마을을 디자인하고 유휴공간을 공동체 공간으로 재탄생하는 사업으로 최대 2억원이 지원된다. 현재 의성 선창마을, 봉화 양삼마을 등 15개 마을이 자생력을 키우고 있다.

‘1시군 1생활인구 특화’는 지역과 연을 맺고 지속적으로 교류할 수 있는 프로그램을 지원하는 사업으로 최대 6천만원이 지원된다.

지난 공모에서는 서울청년 문화예술인과 퇴직자를 대상으로‘안동 고택에서 살기’등 체류 인구 전환을 위한 특화 프로그램을 추진했다.

정성현 경북도 지방시대정책국장은 “올해는 경주 APEC 정상회의가 개최되어 도내 생활인구가 많이 늘 것으로 예상한다”며 “더 자주, 더 오래 경북에 머무를 수 있는 특화사업을 제안해달라”고 당부했다.

‘Small-scale village revitalization’ is a project in which residents take the lead in designing the village and regenerating idle spaces into community spaces, and up to 200 million won will be supported. Currently, 15 villages, including Uiseong Seonchang Village and Bonghwa Yangsam Village, are fostering self-reliance.

‘1 City, 1 Living Population Specialization’ is a project that supports programs that can form connections with the region and continuously interact, and up to 60 million won is provided.

In the previous contest, specialized programs for transitioning the resident population, such as ‘Living in Andong Traditional House’, were promoted for Seoul youth artists and retirees.

Jeong Seong-hyeon, Director of the Gyeongbuk Province Local Era Policy Bureau, said, “This year, the Gyeongju APEC Summit is being held, so the resident population in the province is expected to increase significantly,” and asked, “Please propose specialized projects that can allow people to stay in Gyeongbuk more often and longer.”
