【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(한수원)이 지난 6월 체코 두코바니 신규 원전 사업을 수주한 이후, 발주사와의 기술 협력이 본격화되고 있다.

11일 체코 신규 원전 발주사 EDU II(Elektrarna Dukovany II) 대표단은 이달 1일부터 11일까지 한국을 방문해 설계 절차 논의, 설계 과정 참관, 사업친숙화 특화교육 참여 등 다방면의 기술 교류 일정을 수행했다. 이번 방문에는 EDU II 신규 원전 총괄 관리자 Zbyněk Mrázek(즈비넥 므라젝)을 비롯해 총 53명이 참여했다.

대표단은 1∼2일 한국전력기술 본사를 방문해 APR1000 설계 전반에 관한 심층 논의를 진행했다. 또한 프로젝트 관련 설계 결과물을 직접 확인하며 주요 기술 사양을 검토하고 향후 설계 방향을 협의함으로써 양측의 상호 이해와 협업 기반을 강화했다.

이어 3∼11일에는 한수원 방사선보건원에서 운영된 ‘사업친숙화 특화교육’ 과정에 참여했다. 본 교육은 체코에 공급될 APR1000 원전의 설계, 구매, 공급 체계 전반을 체계적으로 이해하도록 설계된 프로그램이다. 한수원 및 협력사 전문가들이 강사로 참여해 설계 절차, 핵심 기술 사양, 조달 프로세스, 품질보증체계 등 실무 중심의 내용을 교육했다.

한수원과 체코 발주사 대표단은 전 일정 동안 활발한 기술 논의를 이어가며 두코바니 신규 원전 사업의 성공적 수행을 위해 긴밀한 협력을 지속하기로 뜻을 모았다.

박인식 한수원 수출사업본부장은 “이번 방문은 양측의 신뢰를 더욱 공고히 하고 기술 협력의 폭을 넓히는 중요한 계기였다”며 “향후 프로젝트 일정이 차질 없이 진행되도록 필요한 지원과 기술 교류에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Since Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) won the contract for the new Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic in June, technical cooperation with the owner has been intensifying.

A delegation from EDU II (Elektrarna Dukovany II), the Czech new nuclear power plant owner, visited Korea from the 1st to the 11th of this month. The delegation engaged in a variety of technical exchanges, including discussing design procedures, observing the design process, and participating in specialized training to familiarize themselves with the project. A total of 53 participants, including Zbyněk Mrázek, General Manager of EDU II's new nuclear power plant, participated in the visit.

The delegation visited the headquarters of Korea Electric Power Engineering & Construction (KEPCO E&C) on the 1st and 2nd, where they held in-depth discussions on the overall APR1000 design. They also strengthened mutual understanding and collaboration by directly examining project-related design results, reviewing key technical specifications, and discussing future design directions.

Following this, from May 3rd to 11th, they participated in a "Specialized Business Familiarization Training" program run by the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) Radiation Health Institute. This program was designed to systematically understand the overall design, procurement, and supply chain of the APR1000 nuclear power plant to be supplied to the Czech Republic. Experts from KHNP and its partner companies served as instructors, providing practical training on design procedures, key technical specifications, procurement processes, and quality assurance systems.

KHNP and the Czech project company representatives engaged in active technical discussions throughout the visit and agreed to continue close cooperation for the successful completion of the Dukovany new nuclear power plant project.

Park In-sik, Head of KHNP's Export Business Division, stated, "This visit was a crucial opportunity to further solidify trust between the two parties and expand the scope of technical cooperation. We will do our utmost to provide the necessary support and technical exchanges to ensure the smooth progress of the project schedule."
