【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도의회(의장 박성만)는 1월 28일부터 2월 6일까지 10일간의 일정으로 2026년도 첫 회기인 제360회 임시회를 개회한다.

이번 임시회에서는 5분 자유발언을 시작으로 도지사와 교육감의 2026년도 도정 및 교육행정에 대한 업무보고가 진행되며, 민생과 직결된 각종 조례안과 동의안 등 주요 안건을 심의·의결할 예정이다.

28일 열리는 제1차 본회의에서는 백순창(구미), 이충원(의성), 손희권(포항), 남진복(울릉), 이춘우(영천), 남영숙(상주) 의원이 새해 첫 5분 자유발언에 나선다. 이들 의원은 도정 전반의 주요 현안에 대한 문제점을 지적하고, 실효성 있는 정책 대안을 제시하며 집행기관의 적극적인 관심과 대응을 촉구할 계획이다.

임시회 기간 동안 각 상임위원회는 소관 실·국의 업무보고를 통해 도가 추진 중이거나 향후 추진해야 할 주요 시책과 사업들을 점검하고, 정책적 대안을 제시한다. 또한 조례안과 동의안 등 안건은 상임위원회 심사를 거쳐 2월 6일 열리는 제2차 본회의에서 최종 의결된 뒤 회기를 마무리할 예정이다.

박성만 의장은 개회사를 통해 “2026년은 그동안 뿌려온 혁신의 씨앗이 도민의 삶 속에서 실질적인 성과로 나타나는 ‘결실과 도약의 원년’이 돼야 한다”며 “붉은 말의 해인 병오년을 맞아 멈춤 없는 기세로 미래 성장을 이끌어가자”고 강조할 예정이다. 이어 “지방선거가 예정된 해인 만큼 흔들림 없이 오직 도민만을 바라보며 유종의 미를 거둘 수 있도록 최선을 다해달라”고 당부할 계획이다.

한편 이번 제360회 임시회에는 ‘경상북도와 대구광역시 통합에 대한 의견청취의 건’이 접수돼 있어 관련 논의에도 관심이 모아지고 있다.

In his opening remarks, Chairperson Park Seong-man will emphasize, "2026 must be the 'first year of fruition and leap forward,' where the seeds of innovation sown so far will bear tangible fruit in the lives of provincial residents." He added, "Let's lead future growth with unwavering momentum as we welcome the Year of the Red Horse, the Year of the Byeong-o." He will also urge, "With local elections slated for this year, I urge you to remain steadfast and focus solely on the residents of the province, ensuring a successful conclusion."

Meanwhile, the 360th extraordinary session has received a motion to ‘hear opinions on the integration of Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu Metropolitan City,’ and attention is also focused on related discussions.
