경북도의회는 결산검사위원 10명이 지난 4월 2일부터 8일까지 경북교육청 결산검사를 마무리하고, 4월 9일부터 경상북도에 대한 결산검사에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

위원회는 도의원 3명(교육위원회 박채아, 농수산위원회 최병근, 문화환경위원회 박규탁)을 비롯해 공인회계사 2명, 세무사 2명 등 재정·회계 분야 전문가들로 구성됐다. 특히 대표위원으로 선출된 박채아 교육위원장은 세무사 출신으로, 전문성을 바탕으로 검사 결과의 신뢰성 제고가 기대된다.

경상북도가 제출한 결산서에 따르면 2025년도 세입 결산액은 16조 6,220억 원으로 전년 대비 2조 3,898억 원 증가했다. 이는 국고보조금 등 보조금 수입 확대와 지방교부세 증가, 지방채 및 예치금 회수 증가 등이 주요 요인으로 분석된다.

세출 결산액은 15조 9,700억 원으로 전년 대비 2조 6,560억 원 늘었으며, 사회복지 분야가 가장 높은 비중을 차지한 것으로 나타났다.

결산검사위원들은 이번 검사에서 예산의 목적 외 사용 여부와 불용액 발생 현황, 기금 운영 실태 등을 중점적으로 점검할 계획이다. 특히 서류심사와 현지 확인을 병행해 예산 집행이 실제 성과로 이어졌는지를 면밀히 살필 방침이다.

박채아 대표위원은 “도민의 세금이 낭비되지 않고 목적에 맞게 사용됐는지 철저히 검증하겠다”며 “이번 결산검사를 통해 경북 재정 운영의 투명성과 효율성을 높이겠다”고 밝혔다.

During this audit, the audit committee members plan to focus on examining whether the budget was used for purposes other than intended, the status of unspent funds, and the operational status of funds. In particular, they intend to closely scrutinize whether budget execution has led to actual results by combining document reviews with on-site verification. Representative Committee Member Park Chae-ah stated, “We will thoroughly verify whether the residents’ tax money is not wasted and is used for its intended purpose,” adding, “Through this settlement audit, we will enhance the transparency and efficiency of Gyeongbuk’s financial management.”
