정 의원은 “국악은 우리 민족의 정체성과 역사성을 담은 핵심 문화유산”이라며 “K-한류 확산 흐름 속에서 국악의 세계화 가능성을 제도적으로 뒷받침해야 할 시점”이라고 말했다. 이어 안동별신굿, 청도차산농악 등 지역 고유의 전통연희 자산을 거론하며 “체계적 보호·육성과 함께 문화산업과의 연계를 통해 지역경제 활성화로 이어지길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
