대구시가 국비 6억원을 증액 확보해 사회적기업의 자생력 향상 및 취약계층 등에게 지속적이고 안정적인 일자리 제공을 위한 인건비 지원에 나선다.

이처럼 지역의 사회적기업이 지속적인 성장을 거듭하는 가운데 대구시는 일자리창출사업 신청의 증가 추세와 지역 사회적기업의 높아진 고용의지를 반영하기 위해 고용노동부로부터 국비 6억 원을 추가로 교부받아 총 59억 원을 사업비로 확보했다.

이는 당초 예산보다 16% 증가한 역대 최고 금액으로 증액된 예산에 따라 지원 인원은 2020년보다 560여 명(16% 증가)이 늘어난 4,030명 정도 지원할 계획이다.
