이강덕 포항시장이 19일 ‘국가균형발전 2021’ 특강을 위해 포항을 방문한 김사열 국가균형발전위원장에게 한국에너지기술평가원, 한국과학기술연구원, 한국과학창의재단, 동북아역사재단, 국가평생교육진흥원 등 5개 공공기관의 포항시 이전을 건의했다.

포항시에 따르면 한국에너지기술평가원, 한국과학기술연구원, 한국과학창의재단은 포스텍 중심으로 집적화된 R&D기관과 협력해 포항의 신산업 육성에 시너지를 효과를 낼 것으로 기대된다.
