【브레이크뉴스 성주】이성현 기자=성주군(군수 이병환)은 지난 14일 성밖숲에서 열린 ‘제25회 성주군 풍물큰잔치’가 궂은 날씨에도 불구하고 군민과 관람객의 열띤 참여 속에 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

성주문화원이 주최하고 국악협회 성주지부가 주관한 이번 행사는 군민 화합과 전통문화 계승을 목표로 마련됐다. 비가 내리는 가운데서도 관람객들은 끝까지 자리를 지키며 풍물의 흥겨운 장단에 맞춰 함께 어우러졌다.

행사는 풍물패 길놀이로 문을 열었으며, 수륜 흥소리 풍물패, 대가 한마음 풍물패, 성주농협 참외사랑 풍물패, 가천 가야산 산새소리 풍물패 등 관내 14개 풍물단이 차례로 무대에 올라 신명 나는 공연을 펼쳤다. 또한 향토민요보존회 등 국악단체도 함께 참여해 각기 다른 장단과 구호로 현장을 뜨겁게 달궜다.

관객들은 장단에 맞춰 손뼉을 치고 어깨춤을 추며 비를 맞는 것도 아랑곳하지 않고 흥겨움에 빠졌다. 현장은 그야말로 전통과 공동체가 어우러진 군민 화합의 한마당이었다.

경연 결과, 영예의 장원은 ‘벽진농악보존회’가 차지했으며, 차상에는 ‘풍물굿패어울림’이 선정됐다.

국악협회 성주지부장은 “우리 고유의 풍물과 농악이 지역에서 활발히 이어지고 있어 기쁘다”며 “그동안 갈고닦은 기량을 군민과 함께 나눌 수 있어 뜻깊은 자리였다”고 소감을 전했다.

이병환 성주군수는 “성주풍물큰잔치가 우리 민족의 전통문화를 계승하고 군민이 하나 되는 화합의 장으로 자리 잡길 바란다”며 “비 속에서도 끝까지 함께해 주신 군민들께 진심으로 감사드린다”고 말했다.
