영덕군에 따르면 친환경 미생물 배양실은 매주 월요일부터 금요일까지 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 운영된다. 또 농업인의 접근성을 높이기 위해 농기계임대사업소 북부분소에서는 매주 목요일 오후 2시부터 5시까지 미생물 배부를 진행하고 있다.
배부되는 미생물은 유산균, 고초균, 효모균, 광합성균 등 총 4종으로, 토양 내 유익균 증식과 병해 억제, 유기물 분해 촉진, 작물 생육 및 토양 환경 개선 등에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다.
미생물은 전량 무료로 제공되며, 1리터 단위로 멸균 포장돼 농업인이 간편하게 수령할 수 있다.
황대식 영덕군농업기술센터 소장은 “친환경 미생물 활용은 화학 자재 사용을 줄이면서도 안정적인 작물 생산에 도움이 된다”며 “관내 농업인들이 미생물을 활용한 친환경 농업에 적극 동참해 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.

The Yeongdeok County Agricultural Technology Center operates an eco-friendly microorganism cultivation lab and distributes microorganisms free of charge to encourage local farmers to practice eco-friendly farming and improve farming efficiency.
According to Yeongdeok County, the eco-friendly microorganism cultivation lab is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. To increase accessibility for farmers, the Northern Branch of the Agricultural Machinery Rental Service Center distributes microorganisms every Thursday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The four types of microorganisms being distributed are lactic acid bacteria, Bacillus subtilis, yeast, and photosynthetic bacteria. They are known to be effective in increasing beneficial bacteria in the soil, suppressing diseases, promoting organic matter decomposition, and improving crop growth and soil environment.
All microorganisms are provided free of charge and are sterilized and packaged in 1-liter units for convenient collection by farmers.
Hwang Dae-sik, director of Yeongdeok County Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Using eco-friendly microorganisms helps to produce stable crops while reducing the use of chemical materials,” and added, “I hope that farmers in the region will actively participate in eco-friendly farming using microorganisms.”
