【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교 서부일 한의과대학 학장이 지난 1월 10일 열린 한국 한의과대학·한의학전문대학원협회(이하 한대협) 이사회에서 임기 3년의 신임 이사장으로 선출됐다.
이번 이사장 선출은 한대협 당연직 이사로 참여한 전국 한의과대학 및 한의학전문대학원 학장들의 투표로 진행됐으며, 서부일 학장은 과반수 이상의 지지를 얻어 신임 이사장에 이름을 올렸다.
서부일 신임 이사장은 취임 소감을 통해 “한대협이 한의학 교육정책을 선도하는 중심 기구로서 역할을 충실히 수행해 한의사의 전문 역량 강화와 한의학 교육의 질적 수준 제고에 실질적으로 기여하겠다”며 “대한한의사협회와 한국한의학교육평가원 등 유관 기관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 한의학 교육제도의 발전을 이끌어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이날 이사회에서는 한의과대학 정원 문제를 비롯해 국가시험 제도 개선과 실기시험 도입 필요성에 대한 논의도 함께 이뤄졌다. 특히 임상교육 강화와 교육 인프라 확충, 의사·치과의사 국가시험의 임상 실기 평가 사례 분석을 바탕으로 한의사 고유의 실기평가 모델을 개발하는 방안이 주요 과제로 제시됐다.
이와 함께 2026년 총회 개최 방식, 향후 회비 조정 방안, 연구·개발(R&D) 기능 강화를 통한 협회 역할 확대 등 협회 운영 전반에 대한 심도 있는 논의도 이어졌다.
한대협은 이번 이사회를 계기로 한의학 교육의 질적 도약과 한의사의 사회적 신뢰 회복을 위한 제도 개선 논의에 더욱 속도를 낼 방침이다.

Dean Seo Bu-il of Daegu Haany University College of Korean Medicine was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Korea Association of Korean Medicine Colleges and Graduate Schools (KAMG) at the Board of Directors meeting held on January 10th for a three-year term.
The election was conducted by a vote of the deans of Korean medicine colleges and graduate schools nationwide, who served as ex officio members of the KAMG. Dean Seo Bu-il received the majority of the votes and was named the new Chairman.
In his inaugural address, Chairman Seo stated, "KAMG will faithfully fulfill its role as a central organization leading Korean medicine education policy, contributing substantially to strengthening the professional capabilities of Korean medicine doctors and enhancing the quality of Korean medicine education."
