【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박영재 기자=영덕군이 건조한 겨울철 산불 위험을 줄이고 쾌적한 농촌 환경을 조성하기 위해 영농 부산물 파쇄 지원사업을 본격 추진한다.

영농 부산물은 과수원 전정 잔가지와 밭농사 후 발생하는 고춧대·콩대 등으로, 처리 과정이 번거로워 불법 소각되는 사례가 적지 않아 산불의 주요 원인으로 지적돼 왔다. 이에 영덕군은 불법 소각을 근절하고 친환경적인 처리를 유도하기 위해 2024년부터 ‘찾아가는 영농 부산물 파쇄지원단’을 운영하고 있다.

올해 파쇄 지원은 상반기 1~5월과 하반기 10~12월 두 차례에 걸쳐 집중 실시된다. 대상은 관내에 거주하며 농업경영체로 등록된 농가로, 산림 연접지(100m 이내) 농가와 고령농, 장애농, 여성농 등 취약계층은 우선 지원을 받을 수 있다.

신청은 각 읍·면사무소 또는 영덕군농업기술센터 미래농업팀(054-730-6485)으로 하면 되며, 파쇄지원단은 작업 동선을 고려해 일정을 조율한 뒤 사전 안내 후 현장 작업을 진행한다.

작업을 원활히 진행하기 위해 농가는 차량 진입이 가능하고 파쇄가 쉬운 장소에 영농 부산물을 모아두고, 노끈이나 철사 등 이물질을 사전에 제거해야 한다. 또한 작업 당일에는 농가가 입회해 현장 작업에 협조해야 한다.

황대식 영덕군 농업기술센터 소장은 “지난해 160농가, 100ha에 대해 파쇄 작업을 지원해 큰 호응을 얻었다”며 “앞으로도 수요 증가에 맞춰 지속적인 지원을 확대해 산불 예방과 깨끗한 농촌 환경 조성에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

This year's shredding support will be implemented in two phases: January to May in the first half of the year and October to December in the second half. Farmers residing within the county and registered as agricultural management entities will be eligible for support. Priority will be given to farmers living within 100 meters of a forest, as well as vulnerable groups such as elderly farmers, farmers with disabilities, and women farmers.

Applications can be submitted to each township or township office or the Future Agriculture Team of the Yeongdeok County Agricultural Technology Center (054-730-6485). The shredding support team will coordinate the schedule considering the work route and provide advance notice before proceeding with the on-site work.

To ensure smooth operation, farmers should store agricultural byproducts in a location accessible to vehicles and easily shredded, and remove any foreign materials such as ropes and wires in advance. Farmers must also be present on the day of the work to cooperate with the on-site work.
