영덕군보건소 정신건강복지센터는 지난 23일 김홍관 정신과 전문의를 임상 자문의로 위촉하고, 군민을 대상으로 한 전문 정신건강 상담 서비스를 강화한다고 밝혔다.

위촉된 임상 자문의는 앞으로 스트레스와 가족·직장 문제, ADHD, 우울증, 자살 생각 등 다양한 정신과적 어려움을 겪는 군민을 대상으로 전문 상담을 진행한다. 특히 심층적인 치료가 필요한 경우에는 포항시에 위치한 전문 의료기관과 연계해 신속한 진료가 이뤄질 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.

상담 대상은 정신건강 문제로 도움을 필요로 하는 군민 누구나 가능하며, 정신건강복지센터(☎054-730-7162~5)를 통해 사전 예약하면 매월 셋째 주 금요일 오후 2시부터 5시까지 무료 상담을 받을 수 있다.

이와 함께 임상 자문의는 정신건강복지센터 직원들을 대상으로 한 교육을 통해 내부 전문성을 높이고, 사례 검토회의를 통해 보다 효과적인 정신건강 상담 및 개입 방안을 제시하는 역할도 수행하게 된다.

오동규 영덕군 정신건강복지센터장은 “정신과적 상담이 필요한 군민이라면 누구라도 무료 자문을 제공하고, 필요 시 사례 관리를 통해 체계적인 서비스를 지원하겠다”며 “군민 모두가 마음 건강을 지킬 수 있는 행복한 영덕을 만들어 가는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
