김정기 대구광역시장 권한대행 행정부시장은 “이번 해제는 개발사업 추진 과정에서 투기성 수요로 인한 부작용 우려가 낮은 지역을 우선 선별한 조치”라며 “토지거래허가구역 지정은 단순한 규제가 아니라 국가사업의 원활한 추진과 시민 재산권 보호를 위한 제도인 만큼, 앞으로도 시민 편익을 최우선으로 고려해 운영하겠다”고 말했다.
