대구시는 3월 23일 오후 2시 iM뱅크 제2본점에서 대구광역시자원봉사센터와 함께 ‘2026년 세계자원봉사자의 해 대구비전 선포식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 유엔이 2001년 이후 25년 만에 다시 지정한 ‘세계자원봉사자의 해’를 맞아, 대구형 자원봉사 모델을 구축하고 새로운 도약을 선언하기 위해 마련됐다.

대구시는 전국 최초로 6년 연속 자원봉사 우수도시로 선정되는 등 자원봉사 선도 도시로 자리매김해 왔다. 특히 올해는 대구시자원봉사센터 개소 30주년을 맞아 그간의 성과를 되짚고 향후 30년을 위한 비전을 제시하는 데 의미를 더했다.

이날 행사에는 안중곤 대구시 행정국장, 윤영애 대구시의회 기획행정위원장, 홍정우 행정안전부 관계자를 비롯해 한국중앙자원봉사센터 등 100여 개 기관 관계자와 자원봉사자 350여 명이 참석했다.

행사는 홍보영상 상영을 시작으로 ▲개회식 ▲비전 선언문 낭독 ▲선포 퍼포먼스 ▲축하공연 순으로 진행됐으며, 참석자들은 선언문을 함께 낭독하며 자원봉사의 사회적 가치 확산 의지를 다졌다.

대구시는 이날 비전과 함께 ▲참여문화 확산 ▲자원봉사자 예우 강화 ▲30년 기록 아카이브 구축 ▲문제해결형 모델 확립 ▲재난돌봄체계 구축 ▲환경위기 대응 ▲디지털 플랫폼 고도화 ▲미래 인재 양성 ▲민·관·산·학 협력 강화 등 9대 실행전략을 발표했다.

시는 이를 통해 자원봉사를 특정 계층이 아닌 모든 시민이 참여하는 생활문화로 정착시키고, 기후위기·재난·초고령사회 등 복합적인 사회문제 해결에 기여하는 실질적 프로그램을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
