【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구시가 주민참여예산 사업을 180억원 규모로 확대한다.

대구시는 9일 주민참여예산 사업비를 지난해 150억원 대비 30억원이 증액된 180억원으로 규모를 확대해 운영할 계획을 밝혔다.

주민참여예산사업은 시민이 예산운영 과정에 직접 참여하는 제도로 시민이 생활 속 불편사항을 해소하고 시민 삶의 질을 높일 수 있는 사업 등 시정 모든 분야에 대해 직접 제안부터 심사, 선정에 이르는 전 과정에 참여하는 사업이다.

앞서 대구시는 행정안전부가 주관하는 주민참여예산제 운영실적 평가에서 2년 연속 최우수 기관으로 선정되기도 했다.

대구시 2022년 예산에 편성될 주민참여예산 사업 분야는 시정참여형(90억원), 청년참여형(10억원), 구․군참여형(40억원), 읍·면·동참여형(40억원)이다.

대구시는 다양한 분야 청년지원 사업 발굴을 위해 청년참여형 사업에 10억원을 신규 편성하고 읍․면․동참여형 사업에 20억원이 증액된 40억원을 편성했다.

사업을 제안하고 싶은 시민은 3월 10일부터 4월 30일까지 52일간 대구광역시 주민참여예산 홈페이지, 이메일, 팩스, 우편, 방문을 통해 신청할 수 있다.

신청은 대구시민, 대구 소재 직장인·학생이면 누구나 가능하나 대구시와 구·군 공무원 및 산하 출연기관이나 투자기관 종사자는 제안할 수 없다. 

제안된 사업은 해당 사업부서 검토와 주민참여예산위원회 숙의․심사 과정을 거쳐 대상사업으로 선정되면 8월 주민투표와 총회 승인․의결을 거쳐 주민참여예산사업으로 최종 선정된다. 이후 의회 예산심의를 통해 2022년 주민참여예산사업으로 확정할 계획이다.

김정기 대구시 기획조정실장은 “올해는 주민참여 저변 확대와 우수사업 발굴을 중점 목표로 추진할 계획이며 지역의 문제를 스스로 해결하는 실질적 주민자치가 실현되도록 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

Citizens who wish to propose a project can apply for 52 days from March 10 to April 30 through the Daegu Metropolitan City Residents' Participation Budget website, email, fax, mail, or visit.

Anyone can apply for Daegu citizens, office workers and students located in Daegu, but cannot be submitted by public officials of Daegu City and Gu/Gun, affiliated organizations or investment institutions.

When the proposed project is selected as a target project after a review of the relevant project department and the deliberation and review process by the Resident Participation Budget Committee, it is finally selected as a resident participation budget project after a referendum in August and approval and resolution at the general meeting.
