대구시는 대형유통업체의 사회공헌과 시민들의 기부문화 확산을 위해 롯데백화점(대구점), 이마트(만촌점), 홈플러스(성서점) 매장 3곳에 ‘달구벌 키다리 기부점빵’ 3개소를 설치한다고 밝혔다.
권영진 대구시장은 29일 오전 대형유통업체 지역 대표들과 기부점빵 업무협약을 체결하고, 협력업체에서 기부점빵에 기부하는 생필품 전달식을 가졌다.
기부점빵은 백화점, 대형마트 매장 내 생필품 기부함을 설치해 생활 속 나눔문화를 확산하고, 기업체 공익활동 참여 및 사회환원을 통한 기부를 활성화해 코로나19 등으로 생활이 어려운 저소득층 및 위기가구를 돕고자 추진된다.
기부점빵 운영 방법은 29일부터 매장 내 설치한 기부함에 생필품을 넣는 것으로 시작된다. 기부된 생필품은 인근 지정 푸드뱅크, 푸드마켓을 통해 어려운 이웃에게 전달되며, 복지 사각지대를 해소함은 물론 시민 누구나 손쉽게 생필품을 기부하고 나누는 자발적 기부실천 및 나눔문화 확산에 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.
