민주노총 서비스연맹 마트산업노동조합은 4일 오전 11시 대구시청 앞에서 기자회견을 열고" 마트노동자들의 일요일을 지키려는 정당한 행동에 불법과 폭력으로 맞선 홍준표 대구시장과 대구경찰을 규탄한다"고 밝혔다.

마트노조는 지난 12월 19일 대구시청 산격청사에서 열린 '대형마트 의무휴업일 평일전환 추진 협약식'에서 의무휴업일 변경에 반대하는 시위를 벌였다.

이 과정에서 노동자 22명이 연행되었고 47명이 건조물 침입, 공용물 손괴, 공무집행 방해 등의 혐의로 고발당했다.

마트노조는 "마트노동자의 일요일을 빼앗는 협약식에 항의의 뜻을 전달하고 대화를 요구하기 위해 방문했다."며" 하지만 퇴거 명령서를 전달받아 자진해산하려는 노조원들을 막고, 미란다원칙 고지를 구체적으로 하지 않고 현행범으로 체포했다"고 주장했다.

또 "대구 북부경찰서 소속 경찰관 7명에 대해 직권남용권리행사방해, 불법체포 및 감금, 폭행을 이유로 대구지검에 고소장을 제출하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

정민정 마트노조 위원장은 "업무협약 당사자인 노조와는 합의도 아닌 협의마저 거부하며 우리의 삶을 파탄으로 내몰고 있다"며 "적절한 목소리를 내기 위해 청사를 방문한 노동자를 불법적으로 폭력적으로 연행한 책임을 묻겠다"고 밝혔다.
