【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구 달서구(구청장 이태훈)는 지난 7월부터 11월까지 ‘탄소중립 지역리더 양성교육’을 추진해 950여명이 교육에 참여했다고 밝혔다.
‘탄소중립 지역리더 양성교육’은 환경분야 전문강사가 기후위기 이해와 탄소중립 시책, 생활 속 실천에 대해 현재 환경 이슈를 담아 교육을 진행했다.
달서구는 지역의 탄소중립 리더로 중심적 역할을 수행할 수 있는 자연보호협의회 등을 대상으로 우선적으로 교육을 실시했다.
교육 내용은 기후변화 해외사례, 미래 기후변화 전망, 생활 속 실천으로 온실가스 감축 효과 등 세부 사례 위주로 과정을 구성해 참석자들의 흥미를 유발했다.
이번 교육을 통해 교육을 받은 주민이 ‘기후변화 이해와 생활 속 탄소중립 실천’에 대한 이해도를 높여 이웃에게 탄소중립의 중요성과 실천방안을 전파하는 역할 수행을 기대한다.
이태훈 달서구청장은 “달서구는 이 시대의 흐름에 맞추어 탄소중립을 전파하는 지역리더 양성을 위해 노력하며, 내년도에는 새로운 교육을 준비해 온실가스 감축을 위해 노력하겠다.” 고 밝혔다.
