달서구는 적극적인 홍보사업을 실시해 주민들의 심뇌혈관질환예방에 대한 인식개선 기여로 대구에서 유일하게 보건복지부장관상을 수상했다.

코로나19로 인한 캠페인 및 교육 등 대면활동의 제약을 극복하기 위해 비대면 홍보사업을 집중적으로 시행해 관내 의료기관과 연계해 환자대기실 모니터에 심뇌혈관질환 홍보영상을 송출하고, 공사장 가림벽 및 태양광 LED 안내판을 통해 심근경색·뇌졸중 조기증상 및 대처방법을 안내했다. 

또 관내 일차의료 만성질환 시범사업 의료기관과 연계해 영양·비만, 신체활동, 심뇌혈관질환 예방 등 영역별 교육을 제공하는 '우리동네 건강 징검다리'프로그램을 운영했다. 

이태훈 달서구청장은 “앞으로도 다양한 방법의 홍보 콘텐츠를 개발해 더욱더 많은 구민들이 심뇌혈관질환의 심각성을 인지하고 스스로 예방할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
