【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=계명대(총장 신일희)는 2023학년도 정시모집 원서접수 마감 결과 평균 6.11대1의 경쟁률을 기록하며 지난해 대비 대폭 상승한 경쟁률을 기록했다고 3일 밝혔다.
계명대에 따르면 마감결과 정원 내 기준 모집인원 1,015명에 6,197명이 지원해 지난해 경쟁률 4.23대 1보다 대폭 상승한 경쟁률을 나타냈다.
이는 전년도(2022학년도)경쟁률 4.23대 1(모집인원 1,282명, 지원인원 5,419명)에 비해 큰 폭으로 상승한 결과로 가장 높은 경쟁률을 보인 학과는 68.8 대 1의 경쟁률을 보인 약학과이며 의예과가 17.5대 1로 그 뒤를 이었다.
계명대학교 강문식 학생‧입학부총장은 “지역대학들이 수시 모집 인원을 확대하고 수시모집 등록률 또한 상승하여 정시모집 인원이 전년대비 감소하였다.”면서 “이에 학령인구 감소에도 불구하고 대부분의 지역대학 정시모집 경쟁률이 다소 상승하였다.”고 분석했다.
그러면서 “학령인구가 급감하는 내년(2024학년도) 입시에서 살아남기 위해 대학들의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 특단의 대책이 요구된다.”고 덧붙여 말했다.
