또 “일본은 10년째 반복하는 역사 왜곡과 근거 없는 독도 불법 침탈 야욕을 버리고, 국가와 국민간의 관계 회복을 위한 역사적 책무를 실현하여 세계평화를 위해 앞장설 것”을 촉구했다.
경상북도의회 배한철 의장도 “역사적으로, 지리적으로, 국제법적으로도 명백한 우리 고유의 영토인 독도에 대해 부당한 영유권 주장을 되풀이하는 억지에 대해 즉각 철회할 것”을 촉구하고 “독도를 관할하는 도의장으로서 270만 도민과 함께 일본 정부의 독도에 대한 어떠한 도발에도 단호하게 대응해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.
허복 독도수호특별위원회 위원장은 “일본의 반복적인 역사 왜곡과 독도에 대한 도발행위를 즉각 중단하라”며 “제대로 된 역사 인식하에 양국의 건전한 협력 관계 회복과 세계평화 구축에 동참할 것”을 촉구했다.
