【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구시는 민관합동 단속을 통해 공유숙박 플랫폼을 이용한 무신고 숙박업소 3개소를 적발하여 고발조치했다고 밝혔다.

24일, 대구시에 따르면 최근 에어비앤비 등 공유숙박 플랫폼을 이용한 무신고 불법 숙박영업이 성행함에 따라 대구시 위생정책과 및 민생사법경찰과, 구·군, 대구경찰청 및 숙박협회와 합동으로 8개 반 33명의 민관합동 단속반을 편성해 계도활동과 단속을 실시했다.

대구시는 실효성 있는 계도를 위해 지난 3일부터 14일까지 집중 계도 기간으로 정하고 에어비앤비에 게시된 무신고 의심 숙박업소를 대상으로 계도 메시지를 발송했으며 불법 숙박영업이 의심되는 오피스텔을 대상으로 계도 공문과 안내 방송문을 일괄 발송했다.

민관합동 단속반은 사전 계도에도 불구하고 무신고 숙박영업을 지속한 업소를 중점 점검해 3개소(중구 1, 동구 2)를 고발조치했다.

현장 단속 결과 동구의 한 오피스텔에서는 한 명의 영업주가 다수의 객실을 이용해 무신고 숙박영업을 하고 있었는데, 최근 부동산 경기 침체와 주택 거래량 감소로 오피스텔 등의 공실이 많아지면서 불법 숙박영업으로 악용되고 있는 사례이다.

공유숙박 플랫폼을 이용한 불법 숙박영업의 보다 근본적인 해결을 위해서는 정부 차원에서 해외사례의 면밀한 검토와 기존 숙박업계와의 협의를 통해 공유숙박을 입법화하여 플랫폼 사업자에 대한 규제와 단속 근거 마련이 필요하다.

성웅경 대구시 시민안전실장은 “이번 집중 계도와 단속을 실시한 결과 에어비앤비 내 무신고 숙박업소 게시물이 많이 감소하여 가시적인 계도 효과가 상당했다”며“앞으로도 지속적인 계도와 단속을 통해 건전하고 공정한 숙박문화를 조성하도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
