지지자들과 함께 신암선열공원내 단충사를 참배한 정상환 예비후보는 헌화 및 묵념에 이어 방명록에 “순국선열의 숭고한 넋을 기리며 나라와 민족을 위해 소임을 다하겠습니다”라고 기재한 후 묘역을 돌아보았다.

정 예비후보는 대구 능인고를 나와 서울대 법대를 졸업한 후 미국 컬럼비아 대학 로스쿨에서 비교법학 석사 학위를 취득했고, 대구지검 특수부장, 주미한국대사관 법무협력관(외교관), 국가인권위 상임위원(차관급) 등을 거쳐 현재 국민의힘 법률자문위원회 부위원장으로 활동하고 있다.
