정상환 국민의힘 법률자문위 부위원장이 대구 수성을 국회의원 보궐선거 출마를 선언하며 기자회견을 개최했다.

2일 오전 11시 국민의힘 대구시당 강당에서 기자회견을 개최한 정상환 부위원장은 “검수완박 폭주를 막겠다”며 오는 6.1 지방선거와 함께 치러지는 대구 수성을 국회의원 보궐선거 출마를 공식선언했다.

이날 정 부위원장은 “저는 민주당 누구와 싸워도 이길 자신이 있다. 민주당이 검수완박법을 워낙 졸속으로 처리하다보니 문제점 많은 상황에서 한국과 미국 양쪽의 형사 사법제도에 대해 누구보다 잘 알고 있는 제가 국회의원이 된다면 지금의 상황을 대처하는데 큰 역할을 할 수 있을 것”이라고 주장했다.

그는 주요공약으로 △지산·범물 노후아파트 재건축 △단독주택지 종 상향 변경 시 주민부담금 공공기여 비율 감소 △대구 최초 구립 청소년 프리미엄 독서실 건설 등을 제시했다.

이어 그는 지난 1일 수성을 출마를 선언한 유영하 예비후보에 대해 “너무 이르게 선거에 도전한 것”이라고 지적하며 “대구시장 선거에 나설 명분도 없지만 수성을 선거에 나설 명분은 더 없다고 생각한다.”고 설명했다.

또 다른 출마자로 예상되는 이인선 전 대구 수성을당협위원장에 대해서는 “앞서 수성을 공천 2번 받아서 졌는데 항간에 대구 지역은 나무작대기만 꼽아도 된다고 할 만큼 국민의힘 지지세가 강한 곳에서 2번이나 심판을 받고 또 다시 전략공천을 받는 것은 수성을 주민들로써 자존심이 상하는 일”이라고 말했다.

그러면서 자신의 대구시장 출마에 대한 지적에는 “대구시장에 나선 사람이 수성을 국회의원 선거에 나선 것이 아니라 수성을 선거에 나설 사람이 대구시장 선거에도 나섰던 것”이라고 강조했다.

앞서 정상환 부위원장은 대구시장 선거에 출마하였으나 최종 경선 3인에는 포함되지 못했다.

아울러 정상환 부위원장은 수성을 국회의원 보궐선거가 한달도 채 남지 않은 가운데 촉박한 시간을 이유로 이어지고 있는 전략공천설에 대해 “해당 지역은 민주당 후보와 싸워서 이기는데 어려움이 없는 지역이기 때문에 주민들의 의견을 수렴하고 판단을 거치는 것이 도리라고 생각한다.”면서 “또한 하루, 이틀이면 경선도 물리적으로 불가능하지 않다. 만약 전략공천을 한다고 했을 때도 겉으로는 몰라도 속으로는 가장 수긍할 카드는 저라고 생각한다.”며 자신감을 내비쳤다.

As his major promises, he proposed the reconstruction of old apartments in Jisan and Beommul, a reduction in the public contribution rate of residents when the type of detached house is upgraded, and the construction of Daegu’s first city youth premium reading room.

Then, he pointed out that candidate Yoo Young-ha, who declared his candidacy for Suseong on the 1st, was “challenged in the election too early” and said, “I have no reason to run for the mayor of Daegu, but I don’t think there is any more reason to run for Suseong.” he explained.

Regarding Lee In-sun, the former chairman of the Daegu Suseong Party Association, who is expected to be another candidate, he said, “I was nominated twice before for Suseong, but in the Daegu area, I was judged twice in a place where the people’s support was strong enough to say that only sticks were enough. “To receive and receive strategic nominations again and again is to hurt the self-esteem of the residents of Suseong,” he said.

He emphasized, "It was not the person who ran for Daegu mayor who ran for the mayor of Suseong for the National Assembly election, but the person who was going to run for the city of Daegu also started the Daegu mayor election."

Previously, Vice-Chairman Jeong Sang-hwan ran for the Daegu mayor election, but was not included in the final three candidates.
