대구지법 제2행정부(부장판사 신헌석)는 8일 권경숙 전 중구의원이 대구 중구의회를 상대로 제기한 제명 효력정지 가처분 신청을 인용 결정했다.
앞서 국민의힘 소속 권경숙 전 의원은 본인과 아들 명의로 구청과 수의계약 17건을 맺은 사실이 드러나 제명되었다.
이로 인해 의원정수 7명인 중구의회는 2명의 결원이 발생하면서 1월 31일 보궐선거를 실시할 예정이었으나 법원이 권 전 의원의 가처분 신청을 인용함에 따라 선거 일정 조정이 불가피 할 것으로 예상된다.
중구의회 관계자는 “현재까지 선관위로부터 일정에 대한 통지를 받은 것은 없다”고 밝혔다.
중구선관위 관계자는 “선거일에 대한 논의를 위해 9일 위원회가 회의를 진행할 예정이다”라며 “회의를 통해 보궐선거일이 결정될 것”이라고 전했다.
