이번 축제는 더블유에이에이(W.A.A, 대표 김진태)가 주관하며 공연은 까치홀(오후 4시)에서, 미술 전시는 철쭉갤러리(오후 2시 30분)에서 각각 진행된다.

영주 청소년 예술 축제는 청소년들이 공연과 미술 전시를 통해 자신을 표현하고, 예술적 역량을 키우며, 지역 내 청소년 간 소통과 화합을 도모하기 위해 기획됐다.

행사에는 영주시 소재 중·고등학교 10개 팀이 참여해 다양한 댄스 공연을 선보이며, 청소년들이 직접 그린 미술 작품 30점도 전시된다. 또한, 락커스(박지영댄스의 락킹 공연단), 국악 전공자 하연 등 특별 초청 공연도 마련돼 청소년들과 관객들에게 다채로운 무대를 선사할 예정이다.

특히, 올해 축제는 1990년대부터 2020년대까지 시대별 특성을 반영한 ‘타임리프(Time leap)’ 콘셉트로 기획됐다. 각 시대의 개성과 분위기를 담은 창의적인 공연이 펼쳐지며, 이날만을 위해 준비된 ‘특별공연’은 관객들에게 깊은 감동을 선사할 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 다양한 이벤트를 통해 참가자들에게 푸짐한 상품이 제공될 예정이다.
