【브레이크뉴스 영주】이성현 기자=영주시는 세계적 나노·마이크로 접합 기술 분야의 국제행사인 ‘2025 나노·마이크로접합 국제학술대회(NMJ 2025)’를 오는 21일까지 선비세상 일원에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 학술대회는 경상북도, 영주시, 국제나노마이크로조이닝협회(NMJ)가 공동 주최하며, 스위스·독일·일본·중국·미국·캐나다 등 10개국에서 산업계와 학계 전문가 180여 명이 참석한다. 나노·마이크로 접합 분야 국제학술대회가 한국에서 열리는 것은 이번이 처음으로, 업계의 높은 관심을 받고 있다.

나노·마이크로 접합 기술은 반도체·정밀기계·전자소자·에너지·미래 모빌리티 등 첨단 제조산업 전반에 필요한 핵심 기반 기술로 꼽힌다. 이번 행사에서 세계 연구자와 기업들은 최신 기술 동향을 공유하고 혁신 전략을 논의할 예정이다.

이번 행사 프로그램은 △국제 기술포럼 △산학연 협력 프로그램 △전문가 발표 세션 등으로 구성되어 국가별·기관별 기술 교류를 활성화하는 자리가 마련된다.

영주시는 이번 학술대회를 계기로 첨단베어링 국가산업단지를 글로벌 산업계에 널리 알리고, 세계 주요 연구기관 및 기업과의 협력 네트워크를 강화해 기술 기반 산업도시로서의 입지를 공고히 한다는 계획이다.

또한 시는 이번 국제행사가 지역 제조업의 기술 역량을 강화하고 산업 구조 고도화, 글로벌 협력 생태계 조성에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대하고 있다.

유정근 영주시장 권한대행은 “한국에서 처음 개최되는 NMJ 2025는 영주가 세계 첨단 제조기술 논의 중심지로 도약하는 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “참가자들이 영주의 따뜻한 환대와 아름다운 자연, 그리고 미래 산업도시로서의 비전을 충분히 느끼길 바란다”고 전했다.

한편 영주시는 이번 국제학술대회를 발판으로 글로벌 기술 협력 흐름에 적극 대응하고, 지역 산업 구조 혁신 및 제조업 경쟁력 강화를 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

This marks the first time an international conference on nano-micro joining has been held in Korea, and is garnering significant attention from the industry.

Nano-micro joining technology is considered a core foundational technology essential to advanced manufacturing industries, including semiconductors, precision machinery, electronic components, energy, and future mobility. At this event, researchers and companies from around the world will share the latest technological trends and discuss innovation strategies.

This event's program will consist of an international technology forum, an industry-academia-research collaboration program, and expert presentation sessions, providing a platform for stimulating technological exchanges across countries and institutions.

Yeongju City plans to use this conference as a springboard to promote the Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex to the global industry and strengthen its collaborative network with leading global research institutes and companies, solidifying its position as a technology-based industrial city.

The city also anticipates that this international event will have a positive impact on strengthening the technological capabilities of local manufacturing, advancing the industrial structure, and fostering a global cooperative ecosystem.
