이번 축제는 궂은 날씨 속에서도 전국에서 약 4만여 명의 방문객이 몰리며 지역 대표 가족축제로서의 위상을 다시 한번 입증했다.

7일 영주시에 따르면 황금연휴 기간 열린 이번 축제는 가족 단위 관람객들로 연일 북적였고, 특히 어린이 참여형 전통문화 프로그램이 큰 호응을 얻으며 교육과 재미를 동시에 만족시켰다는 평가를 받았다.

가장 인기를 끈 프로그램은 한국선비문화수련원에서 열린 ‘오늘의 장원은 나야 나!’였다. 참가 어린이들은 문과 체험으로 시 짓기와 그림 그리기에 참여하고, 이어진 유가행렬 ‘방방례 퍼레이드’에 참여해 전통을 몸소 체험하는 기회를 가졌다. 활쏘기와 곤봉술 등 무과 체험과 전통 무예 시범 공연은 부모와 아이 모두의 눈길을 사로잡았다.

선비세상 잔디광장에 마련된 ‘풍류 놀이터’ 역시 대형 에어바운스를 중심으로 아이들의 놀이터로 자리잡으며 축제 분위기를 더했다. 또한, 동화와 전통이 결합된 ‘앨리스 in 선비세상’ 체험은 대형 조형물과 인형 퍼레이드로 어린이들의 상상력을 자극하며 연일 인산인해를 이뤘다.

이외에도 캐릭터 솜사탕 만들기, 페이스페인팅, 원데이 쿠킹클래스 등 체험 부스가 다양하게 운영되며 온 가족이 함께 즐기는 축제로 주목받았다. 서울의 인기 맛집 ‘르팔러 키친’과 지역 특산물 카페 ‘카페 콩콩’도 긴 대기 줄이 이어질 만큼 큰 인기를 끌었다.

선비촌에서는 유복예절 교육, 갓 만들기, 마패 만들기 등 전통문화 체험 프로그램이 고즈넉한 한옥 공간에서 진행되어, 어린이들에게 전통의 소중함을 일깨우는 특별한 시간이 됐다.

이재훈 영주문화관광재단 이사장 권한대행은 “예년보다 길어진 연휴와 다양한 프로그램 덕분에 올해 어린이선비축제는 기상 여건에도 불구하고 성공적으로 마무리될 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 의견을 수렴해 더욱 유익하고 풍성한 축제로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The ‘2025 Children’s Scholar Festival’ hosted by Yeongju Cultural Tourism Foundation was held successfully for four days from May 3 to 6 at Yeongju Seonbi World, Seonbi Village, and the Korea Seonbi Culture Training Center.

The ‘Pungryu Playground’ set up in the Seonbi World lawn square also became a playground for children centered around a large air bounce, adding to the festival atmosphere. In addition, the ‘Alice in Seonbi World’ experience, which combines fairy tales and tradition, stimulated children’s imagination with large sculptures and a doll parade, drawing crowds every day.

In Seonbichon, traditional culture experience programs such as etiquette education, hat making, and mapae making were held in a quiet Hanok space, making it a special time to remind children of the importance of tradition.
