【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=한국수력원자력(이하 한수원)은 25일 경북 안동시 임하 다목적댐 공원에서 ‘임하댐 수상태양광 집적화단지’ 준공식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

임하댐 수상태양광 집적화단지는 설비용량 47.2MW 규모로, 2021년 12월 국내 최초 신재생에너지 집적화단지로 지정된 곳이다. 안동시가 실시기관으로, 한수원과 한국수자원공사가 공동 개발사로 참여했으며, 지난 7월 30일부터 상업운전에 들어갔다.

수상태양광은 물 위에 태양광 패널을 설치하는 방식으로, 육상태양광보다 발전 효율이 높고 환경 훼손을 최소화할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 특히 임하댐 사업에는 낮에는 수상태양광을, 밤에는 수력발전을 운영하는 ‘교차발전’ 방식이 도입됐다. 기존 임하댐 수력발전소의 송전계통을 공유해 전력망 포화로 인한 접속 지연 문제를 해소한 사례로 주목받고 있다.
