이번 홍보공간 조성은 지난 1월 김정기 대구광역시장 권한대행이 자매도시인 베트남 다낭시를 방문해 다낭관광안내센터를 둘러보고, 양 도시 간 관광 홍보 협력 방안을 논의한 데 따른 후속 조치다.

대구시는 국내외 관광객의 방문이 잦은 동성로 관광특구 내 관광안내소에 다낭시 관광 책자와 기념품 등을 상시 전시하고, 이를 활용해 대구와 다낭 간 관광 자원을 연계한 공동 홍보를 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

대구시 관계자는 “동성로 관광안내소를 찾는 관광객들에게 다낭의 다양한 매력을 자연스럽게 소개하고, 동시에 대구 관광 홍보 효과도 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 자매도시와의 교류를 바탕으로 관광 분야 협력을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
