【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 설 명절을 맞아 연휴 기간 발생할 수 있는 시민 불편을 해소하고 각종 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 오는 14일부터 18일까지 5일간 ‘설 연휴 종합대책’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 종합대책은 ▲경제와 골목이 함께 웃는 명절 ▲안전이 기본인 명절 ▲불편 없이 안심하는 명절 ▲함께라서 따뜻한 명절 등 4대 핵심 분야로 수립됐으며, 귀성객과 시민 모두가 편안하고 즐거운 설 연휴를 보낼 수 있도록 하는 데 중점을 두고 있다.

시는 연휴 기간 재난·재해, 경제, 교통, 청소·환경, 보건 등 15개 반 425명으로 구성된 종합상황실을 운영해 각종 민원과 돌발 상황에 신속히 대응할 계획이다.

특히 위축된 골목상권 소비 활성화와 물가 안정 등 민생경제 회복에 역점을 둔다. 이를 위해 물가 안정 TF팀과 물가대책 종합상황실을 운영하며, 설 성수품을 중심으로 물가 동향을 점검하고 연휴 이후에도 분야별 물가 상승 대응을 지속할 방침이다.

지역 소비 활성화를 위해 포항사랑상품권 10% 할인판매를 실시했으며, 여가 플랫폼을 통한 숙박 할인 쿠폰 제공, 명절 기간 주요 관광지와 공공시설 정상 개방, 전통놀이 체험 등 다양한 문화·관광 프로그램도 마련했다.

아울러 사회복지시설과 취약계층을 대상으로 명절 위문품을 전달하고, 어려운 이웃과 복지시설을 찾아 위로하는 등 나눔과 기부를 통해 따뜻한 명절 분위기 조성에도 힘쓴다.

동절기 대형 피해로 이어질 수 있는 산불 예방을 위해서는 산불방지대책본부를 운영해 산불 취약지 순찰을 강화하고, 실화 방지 홍보·계도와 유관기관 협력을 통해 화재 발생 시 조기 진화체계 구축에 집중한다.

이 밖에도 설 연휴 기간 문 여는 의료기관 184곳과 약국 164곳을 지정·운영해 비상 진료 체계를 유지하고, 청소기동반 운영, 불법 주정차 단속, 응급의료 서비스, 비상 급수 대책 등을 통해 시민 생활 불편 사항을 즉각 처리할 예정이다.
