시는 19일 장상길 포항시장 권한대행 주재로 ‘2027년도 국가투자예산 확보 추진 상황 보고회’를 열고, 전 부서 협업 체계를 기반으로 한 체계적 대응 전략 수립에 착수했다고 밝혔다.

이번 보고회는 연초부터 중앙부처와 기획예산처의 예산 편성 일정에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 마련됐다. 각 국 단위별로 주요 국가투자사업 추진 현황과 확보 전략을 점검하고, 사업별 논리 보강과 대응 시나리오를 공유했다.

포항시가 현재까지 발굴한 2027년도 국비 확보 대상 사업은 총 271건, 1조 4,252억 원 규모다. 이 가운데 신규사업은 75건(2,096억 원), 계속사업은 196건(1조 2,156억 원)으로 집계됐다.

주요 신규사업으로는 ▲포항철강 AX실증산단 구축사업 ▲K-차세대 전기추진선박 글로벌 혁신특구 사업 ▲포항 수산양식 스마트기자재 클러스터 조성사업 등이 포함됐다. 이들 사업은 철강 고도화, 친환경 선박 기술 선점, 스마트 양식산업 육성 등 미래 산업 경쟁력 강화를 목표로 하는 핵심 프로젝트다.

이와 함께 영일만횡단대교 건설과 같은 대형 SOC 사업을 비롯해 이차전지·수소·바이오 특화단지 후속 사업 등 정부 정책 기조에 부합하는 전략사업도 중점 관리 대상으로 삼았다. 시는 건전 재정 운용을 전제로 공공투자를 확대해 지역 경기 회복의 마중물 역할을 하겠다는 구상이다.

시는 단계별 추진계획에 따라 3월부터 경북도와 중앙부처, 국회를 수시 방문해 사업 타당성과 정책 연계성을 적극 설명할 계획이다. 또한 4월 말까지 각 부처 업무계획과 공모사업 동향을 정밀 분석해 추가 신규사업 발굴에도 속도를 낼 방침이다.

The city plans to expand public investment under the premise of sound fiscal management and serve as a catalyst for regional economic recovery.

Starting in March, the city plans to actively explain project feasibility and policy alignment to North Gyeongsang Province, central government agencies, and the National Assembly, following a phased implementation plan.
