이번 사업은 중소·중견 제조기업의 AI 및 제조데이터 도입·활용을 체계적으로 지원해 현장의 디지털 전환을 촉진하는 데 초점이 맞춰져 있다. 정부의 ‘AI 기반 스마트제조혁신 3.0 전략’과 보조를 맞춰 지역 제조산업의 경쟁력과 생산 구조를 근본적으로 개선하겠다는 구상이다.

대구시는 지역 주력 산업인 기계요소·소재부품 분야 기업을 대상으로 2025년부터 3년간 총 120억 원을 투입한다. 제조데이터 수집·관리 체계를 고도화하고, 기업이 손쉽게 활용할 수 있는 제조 AI 서비스 플랫폼 등 핵심 인프라를 구축할 계획이다. 시스템 통합(SI) 기업과 연계해 AI 솔루션 도입과 실증을 지원하고, 사전 컨설팅 등 맞춤형 지원 프로그램도 병행한다.

앞서 시는 제조 AI 서비스 플랫폼 구축의 기반 단계로 데이터 수집·관리 체계를 마련했다. 빅웨이브에이아이, 아이디비 등과 협력해 공정 예측, 품질관리, 설비 이상 감지 분야의 AI 솔루션을 개발하고, 삼보모터스, 상신브레이크, 한국OSG 등 10개 기업에 적용을 지원했다.

또 경창산업, 대성하이텍, 티에치엔 등 26개 기업을 대상으로 제조공정 고도화와 데이터 분석·진단을 위한 사전 컨설팅도 진행했다.

올해는 제조 AI 서비스 플랫폼 개발에 본격 착수하고, AI 솔루션 도입·실증 지원 기업을 12개사로 확대할 계획이다. 사전 컨설팅 역시 지속 추진해 기업들이 실제 현장에서 AI 기술을 효과적으로 활용하도록 지원한다는 방침이다.

이윤정 대구시 기계로봇과장은 “이번 사업을 통해 지역 제조기업이 현장의 구조적 문제를 해결하고, 제조업 인공지능 전환(M.AX)에 속도를 낼 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”며 “지속 가능한 제조산업 생태계 조성을 위해 지원을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Metropolitan City is accelerating the transition of local manufacturing sites to artificial intelligence (AI) by launching the "Regional Specialized Manufacturing Data Activation Project," which was selected through a public offering by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

This project focuses on systematically supporting the adoption and utilization of AI and manufacturing data by small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, thereby accelerating their digital transformation. In line with the government's "AI-Based Smart Manufacturing Innovation 3.0 Strategy," the plan is to fundamentally improve the competitiveness and production structure of the local manufacturing industry.

Daegu City will invest a total of KRW 12 billion over three years, starting in 2025, targeting companies in the mechanical components and materials/parts sectors, key regional industries. The plan includes upgrading the manufacturing data collection and management system and establishing core infrastructure, including a manufacturing AI service platform that companies can easily utilize. The city will also collaborate with system integration (SI) companies to support the adoption and validation of AI solutions and offer customized support programs, including pre-sale consulting.

The city previously established a data collection and management system as the foundation for building a manufacturing AI service platform. In collaboration with BigWave AI and IDB, the city developed AI solutions for process prediction, quality control, and equipment anomaly detection, and supported their implementation at 10 companies, including Sambo Motors, Sangsin Brake, and Korea OSG.

Furthermore, the city provided preliminary consulting services for manufacturing process advancement and data analysis and diagnosis to 26 companies, including Kyungchang Industrial, Daesung Hitech, and THN.

This year, the city plans to fully launch the development of the manufacturing AI service platform and expand the number of companies receiving support for AI solution adoption and demonstration to 12. The city also plans to continue providing preliminary consulting services to help companies effectively utilize AI technology in real-world settings.
