【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항해양경찰서(서장 이근안)는 22일 낮 12시 13분께 포항시 환호항 남서쪽 약 0.5해리(0.9km) 해상에서 해양훈련 중이던 딩기요트가 전복됐다는 119 공동대응 신고를 접수했다고 밝혔다.
해경은 신고를 받은 즉시 포항구조대와 포항파출소 연안구조정을 현장에 급파했다. 구조대는 사고 해역에 도착해 해상에 표류 중이던 2명을 구조요원이 직접 입수해 구조한 뒤, 육상에서 대기 중이던 소방당국에 인계했다.
나머지 2명은 해양스포츠아카데미 소속 구조선에 의해 구조된 것으로 확인됐다.
구조된 4명은 20대 남성 2명과 여성 2명으로, 모두 저체온증을 호소했으나 생명에는 지장이 없는 상태인 것으로 파악됐다.
사고가 난 딩기요트 1척은 해양스포츠아카데미 측이 예인해 두호항으로 입항했으며, 또 다른 1척은 포항파출소 연안구조정이 기상 악화 속에 예인해 여남항으로 안전하게 이동 조치했다.
이근안 포항해양경찰서장은 “해양레저활동 시 구명조끼 착용 등 안전수칙을 철저히 준수하고, 출항 전 기상상황을 충분히 확인해야 한다”며 “앞으로도 신속한 대응을 통해 국민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Pohang Coast Guard (Chief Lee Geun-an) announced that at approximately 12:13 PM on the 22nd, it received a joint 119 emergency call reporting that a dinghy yacht capsized during a training exercise approximately 0.5 nautical miles (0.9 km) southwest of Hwanho Port in Pohang.
