이번 회의에는 포항해양경찰서, 국가정보원, 대구지방검찰청 포항·경주지청, 경북경찰청, 포항 남부·북부경찰서, 경주경찰서, 포항세관, 육군 50사단, 해병 1사단, 경상북도, 포항시, 경주시 등 총 13개 기관이 참석했다. 참석 기관들은 최근 해안가 마약류 발견 현황을 공유하고, 수색 및 해양 감시 강화 방안, 대국민 안전 홍보 전략 등 대응책을 논의했다.

이근안 포항해양경찰서장은 “마약류 국내 유입 차단을 위해 모든 관계기관과 유기적으로 협력해 대응 체계를 구축하겠다”며, “마약으로 의심되는 물질을 발견하면 절대 만지거나 개봉하지 말고 즉시 해양경찰 등 경찰기관에 신고해 달라”고 당부했다.

The Pohang Coastal Area Police Station (Chief Lee Geun-an) announced that it held a meeting with relevant agencies on November 20th to prevent the inflow of narcotics (presumed to be ketamine) into the country following three recent discovery of narcotics packaged in tea packaging along the Pohang coast, including Jeju Island.

Pohang Coast Guard Chief Lee Geun-an said, “We will establish a response system by organically cooperating with all relevant organizations to block the inflow of narcotics into the country,” and asked, “If you find any substances suspected to be narcotics, please do not touch or open them and immediately report them to the Coast Guard or other police agencies.”
